A Message From the Dean
Fall 2007
Welcome to a new academic year. Each year, we provide new and revised educational programs to help you further your education. We offer a variety of career training and lifelong learning courses for the community, as well as educational services to help local businesses grow and succeed. Here are highlights of our new and revised programs:
Extension Programs: Looking for advancement opportunities within your career, or considering a new line of work? We offer professional development certificate programs and continuing education courses. Take a look at one of our newly revised certificate programs, the Certificates in Electronic Arts.
Part-Time Degree Programs: We offer graduate degree programs in executive formats for working professionals and individuals looking to advance their careers. Currently we are offering an MBA for Executives program, located conveniently in downtown San Bernardino. In the spring 2008 quarter, a new Professional Masters in Criminal Justice program will be offered fully online.
Online Programs: Looking to take a couple of courses, but limited on time? We’ve recently expanded our selection of online courses for the on-the-go learner. We offer self-study programs that have been designed to provide the training and skills necessary to acquire professional career positions in a variety of in-demand occupations. Visit our new eLearning Center to view the vast offerings, as well as Education for Educators offered by Virtual Education Software.
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute: As always, we will be offering excellent learning opportunities for mature adults at our Palm Desert Campus, as well as the Coachella Valley communities of La Quinta and Palm Springs. This year, we’re expanding the Osher program to the San Bernardino campus. Classes will also be held in the new county library branch in the Mentone/Redlands area.
I hope that you will continue to look to the College of Extended Learning to meet your career training, continuing education and lifelong learning goals.
Sincerely,

Dr. Jeet Joshee, Dean College of Extended Learning
