A Message From the Dean
Fall 2008
Fall starts a new academic year at the College of Extended Learning and we continue to provide new and revised programs to help you further your education. Here’s a highlight of what we have to offer you:
MBA for Executives Graduate Degree Program: This executive-format program is for working professionals and individuals looking to advance in their careers. For information on joining our next cohort, please E-mail cel@csusb.edu.
Open University: You can take degree-level university classes even if you are not matriculated to CSUSB degree programs. This is a great way to earn credits towards a degree that someday you plan on completing. Open University registration starts September 25.
International Extension Programs (IEP): The IEP unit of the College of Extended Learning offers regularly scheduled and customized short- and long-term language and professional training programs for students and professionals from across the world.
Workplace Training: We can customize training programs that can be offered on-site or online to meet your workforce needs. Or if you already have in-house training programs, we may be able to provide you with university credit. Visit http://cel.csusb.edu/workplace_training.html.
Online Programs: The College of Extended Learning offers online continuing education certificate programs and individual self-study courses designed to provide you with the workforce skills necessary to acquire professional calibre positions in many in-demand occupations. New this fall—Learn Chinese culture and language through our FREE online pilot program.
Extension Programs: Looking for advancement opportunities in your career or considering a new line of work? We offer professional development certificate programs and continuing education programs. For educators, we have expanded our offering of online courses that focus on learning and teaching strategies, educational technology, reading/literacy, math and science.
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute: You are invited to learn, laugh, question and share with other ageless thinkers in the Coachella Valley who are equally fascinated by interesting topics and issues. Programs are taught by either CSUSB faculty or experts in the field.
I hope you will take advantage of some of our programs. Please call us at (909) 537-5975 or E-mail us at cel@csusb.edu.
Sincerely,

Dr. Jeet Joshee, Dean College of Extended Learning
