A Message From the Dean
Winter 2006
Hello! As the new dean, I would like to welcome you to the College of Extended Learning at California State University, San Bernardino. I feel privileged
to lead the college and be part of this wonderful university.
I am glad you are going through our Bulletin to find the diverse array of programs we have to offer. Whether you are looking for professional development
opportunities, sharpening your skills, or seeking access to the vast educational resources of Cal State San Bernardino, your goal is ?within reach? at the
College of Extended Learning. If you are not yet matriculated to the university, or just toying with the idea of returning to college, our Open University
program will provide you access to hundreds of academic credit courses. If you are thinking of becoming certified in a specific area that would give you a
clear advantage for a job, consider our Extension programs. You?ll find certificate programs in human resources management, AutoCAD, grant development and
management, Web page design, logistics management, and many more. If you are an educator, we have numerous programs to meet your training and professional
development needs.
In addition to the San Bernardino campus, the College of Extended Learning offers programs at the state-of-the-art Palm Desert campus. Unique to the
Palm Desert campus is our Osher Lifelong Learning Institute which offers courses for adults 50 and above. Our goal is simple and that is to serve the
educational needs of learners of all ages. Through our International Extension programs, the college brings students, educators, and public and private
sector business executives to the university. In addition to adding diversity to the university campus, these programs open the door for all to the wider
global community.
Please do not hesitate to contact us any time with your educational needs. For more information, visit our Web site at
