About the China Programs Office
The China Programs Office (CPO) at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) offers a one-stop
resource for global management training, professional development, intercultural exchange and educational
programs. It is designed to host educational training programs for mid-career professionals and executives
from China in various academic disciplines as well as programs in U.S. culture and values, English language,
business and social etiquette, organizational practices and protocol, and corporate and government culture.
The CPO training programs will build cultural and business bridges between the United States, California,
and China and foster increased exchange between organizations and individuals in economic, governmental,
academic, and civic sectors. To ensure the success of our programs, we work closely with our university
faculty and with expert professionals in California companies and government agencies at the state, city,
and national levels.
Our Mission and Goals
The mission of the China Programs Office is to offer management training and educational programs to
Chinese executives and managers in the public and private sectors. Through these programs, we promote
business cooperation and educational and cultural exchanges for the mutual interests of both the United
States and China.
Our Experience
The College of Extended Learning at CSUSB has been involved in training Chinese officials and professionals
for several years. We offer over 100 long-term and short-term programs annually serving almost 1,000 Chinese
participants. With that kind of extensive experience, China Programs Office will:
- develop market driven educational programs for Chinese business and public sector executives;
- create strategic partnerships between CSUSB and Chinese institutions for the development of educational
programs and initiatives;
- foster an understanding of history, cultures, and values;
- increase CSUSBís visibility in China through various educational programs.
